Filling Ingredients:
1 small head cabbage
1 lb. ground beef
3 T. chopped onion
1 egg
3 T. soy sauce
1 t. sugar
2 t. sesame oil
1 t. salt
½ t. ginger powder
Bring cabbage to boil in 2 c. water then lower to simmer for 8 minutes. Rinse w/ cold water – chop FINELY – squeeze.
Mix well all above ingredients together.
Place about 1 T. in won ton wrapper and seal edges with water (as directed on package.)
To cook:
Preheat oven to low.
Heat 1 T. veg. oil in large fry pan –Med-Hi
Brown bottoms of 10 sealed edged pot stickers for 1 min. Add 4 T. water – cook covered for 3 minutes. Remover cover (water should be almost absorbed) & brown for a few seconds. – don’t turn – only bottom should be brown
Repeat above for each 10 potstickers – keep warm in oven.
Serve with dipping sauce.
Sauce:
2 T. soy sauce
2 T. vinegar
½ t. sesame oil
2 ½ to 3 drops Tabasco
